Silent But Deadly - So don't have a cow, dude!

According to a recent study, one of the major steps we should be taking to reduce greenhouse gases is to consume less meat, particularly beef.

Why? Well there are few reasons, but it is mostly because they fart methane. With four stomachs, cows have an enormous capacity for letting off more than the occasional trouser trumpet, and their rumblers are a potent blast of the world's worst known greenhouse gas -methane.

So, that's an easy fix. Just reduce your beef consumption by one meal a week. Replace it with veges or tofu.

Or you could think about eating an environmentally friendly meal of kangaroo once a week. Roo is fantastic stuff, delicious, high in vitamins and very low in fat, and it is plentiful in Australia.

It's like switching to drought-tolerant plants in your garden - native is best for the environment. Kangaroos don't consume as much water or require the green pastures that cows need to thrive.

And it's patriotic too. Very, very Aussie.
