Atmospheric levels of greenhouse gasses are higher than they have ever been in the past 800,000 years. Studies of Antarctic ices have revealed that carbon dioxide concentrations are now 24% higher than any previous concentration during that period. Methane concentrations are a staggering 124% higher.
